The Daily Record examined a workforce study for marine businesses in Rock Hall and the surrounding region. Reporter Stephanie Kalina-Metzger spoke with Sam Shoge about Rivers & Roads Consulting’s work with Mayor James Cook, the Upper Shore Regional Council, and local partners.
The study gathered input from businesses, educators, and workforce organizations to identify training and staffing needs. Shoge discussed the challenges of an aging and seasonal workforce and a proposed coordinator who could connect employers with existing education and training resources.
