Rivers & Roads has released an independent study of housing needs across Kent County. Prepared by Kate Van Name, Every Way Home: What Kent County Has, What Its People Need, and What Comes Next examines housing choices in the county’s towns and unincorporated communities.
The study considers how smaller households, housing costs, and older homes affect residents’ ability to find suitable housing and remain in their communities. Its recommendations address both additional housing options and support for people who need repairs, accessibility improvements, or affordable rentals.
The report also proposes defined responsibilities and resources for the county’s Housing Office, better information about homes and assistance, and clearer follow-through on local housing priorities.
